Via Czechia – Path through the Mediterranean

The Paths through the Mediterranean route leads from České Budějovice to the southernmost point of the Czech Republic in four stages with a total length of 90 kilometers. The first approximately 10 kilometers of the section still leads through the area of Českobudějovick, only after the village of Boršov nad Vltavou does the trail cross the border of the Český Krumlov district. The route departs from the Vltava Valley at the Dívčí Kámen castle and climbs to the top of Kleti, the only 1,000-meter peak and therefore the highest point on the entire Midland Trail. From Kleti, the route returns to the Vltava and leads to Český Krumlov via Zlata Koruna. In the second half of the section, the route continues south against the Vltava river to Rožmberk nad Vltavou and through Vyšší Brod to its southern end – the southernmost point of the Czech Republic near the village of Studánky.
